The Director determines when the child is ready to move into the Extended Day year, usually around the child’s fifth birthday. Completion occurs between three and seven terms of Extended Day.
Extended Day is recognised as the Kindergarten year by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA). At the conclusion of the three-year program most children will enter Year One in primary schools.
