Castlecrag Montessori School was established in 1987 by a group of parents committed to Montessori principles. It began with an initial enrolment of seven children, a trained Director and an assistant. Initially the school was reliant upon other Montessori schools for material and environmental needs. Financial restraints involved in start-up costs required parents to supply consumables.
From these humble beginnings we have now established ourselves as a respected and in-demand Montessori environment and community receiving some government funding. We have an enrolment of approximately 40 children and employ two full time Directors, three assistants and an administrator. We remain proud of the high standard of Montessori education provided by our school.
